NEED AN INTRO?
So where do I begin? The standard introduction is a bit boring. Name age and location? Top or bottom? I mean it is not Grindr. I think it would be a better idea to use this platform for you to get to know me.
So let me start how this adventure began.
I have always wanted to write but I never actually started till I worked with this wonderful woman. A stunning Scandi mum of three who, besides flying, writes MM romances. Shocker, right? You should read her books, I don’t think a gay man could do any better than her. I had so many questions for her, I mean how does a woman know about all the details of gay sex? Love is universal, everyone knows that feeling one way or another. Well I soon found out because she asked me loads of questions. With every answer I gave her smile became more and more mischievous.
Well she inspired me to write my first novel. It is still in progress but the support I get from her is amazing.
A few months later I rekindled with my primary school friend. We hadn't seen each other for over 20 years but we picked our friendship up like we never stopped. This incredibly talented, creative person is the one who’s website you are on now, Chelsea Croft. He came up with this concept for and wanted to include a weekly column from yours truly. How very daunting, huh? We spent a few nights on my sofa with lots of wine and a cheeky snack. After I sent him my first column, and don't get me wrong, I was very nervous, he rang me straight away! This was what he was looking for, this only motivated me more to do this. So here I am, opening myself up to you and anyone who wants to read it.
But now the big question: What can you expect from my column? First of all it will be brutally honest. I will write about basically anything: my dating life, gay awakening, travelling, cooking and so on. You basically get a glimpse of my life. Is that interesting? I don't know, I will let you be the judge of that. I have never published any of my writing before But i’d love to take you on this journey with me. So every Sunday evening, make sure to make yourself a cup of tea, or something stronger (I don't judge), get settled and read. Treat it like a bedtime story.
My columns will be written in English, why? I don't know. If your English sucks, my column is probably not for you. Or maybe use Google translate?
The comment section will be open for you to respond, ask me questions or just share your experiences. I promise that I will read them all. But be careful because I might use it as inspiration for my next column.
So to end my very first venture into writing, a BIG shoutout to the 2 beautiful human beings mentioned above. You guys rock!
I am going to do a happy dance now, because I guess you can call me a columnist now. I am going to add this to my Tinder profile.
Well since this isn't Grindr nor Tinder perhaps I should give you a little introduction. My name is Mitch, 28, and I work in the airline industry. I can’t wait to share more in the coming weeks so why not say hi?
A new column by The Gay Bradshaw will be live next Sunday at 20:00H, exclusively on tobecroft.com/tgb
